I am a sucker for a good comic book superhero movie. Especially ones with cutie patooties as the main character. And Ryan Reynolds, who plays Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern, has more patooties than even Sandra Bullock can handle.

If you have not seen the movie and do not want to know anything about it, read no further, may contain spoilers.

Green Lantern progresses at a very good pace, I don't recall there being a slow point in the movie. Well, other than the scenes with Ryan and Blake. I guess all that lovey dovey sensitive stuff is necessary for that love story to progress but blah, blah, blah. There is lots of action and the effects are pretty spectacular, especiallyduring the ring conjuring scenes.Blake Lively, oh how I want to not like her but I can't do it. Not in this film. She annoyed me in the pants movies but as Carol, the love interest, she was neither slutty nor blonde. The movie scored points for that.

The movie has a PG-13 rating but there really wasn't much sexual content or profanity. Parallax, the evil, fear-harvesting being is very big and scary. And he gets bigger and scarier as the movie progresses so kids might get freaked out about that part. I will be getting this one on Blu-ray but definitely not letting kids watch it for a long while. You can always check out Kids in mind to get content analysis on movies.

As much as I like Supergirl and the Batman movies (yes, even Batman and Robin), Green Lantern is by far my favorite DC Comics based movie. Go see it. Make it a date night movie. Action, special effects and superheroes for him, Ryan Reynolds for her.

I like discussing comic book lore with the Hubs. I learn so much and it reminds me that he is still the geek I fell in love with.

The ride home went something like this:

Thao: I liked it. The action was good, the story was good.
Rod: Yeah, I thought it was good too. I think it made a much better movie choice than X-Men.
T: Yep. I never seem to have problems watching Ryan Reynolds in his underwear. Go figure.
R: Temuera Morrison who plays Abin Sur played Jango Fett
T: Really? Looked nothing like him. How do you say his name? Avin thur? Advent sure?
R: Abin Sur
T: That's a cool name. If we have any more kids, we should name him Abin Sur.
R: I don't think so. We are not naming kids after the Green Lantern Corp
T: How about Hal Jordan? Hal Jordan Powell. That has a ring to it.
R: haha, ring. you're funny.
T: I know. But you like Hal Jordan Powell don't you?
R: Yeah, it would be a cool name. I liked the way they used the color yellow for fear and green for will. The comic books never went into that. Now that they have the yellow ring, they should make a red one.
T: For anger?
R: For hatred.
T: Won't work. You can't have 2 bad rings and only 1 good ring. The balance of good and evil will be torn asunder. If you have a red one, then you need a pink one. For love.
R: Now way.
T: Why not.
R: All the other Lanterns would make fun of him.

And that is why there will never be a Pink Lantern.

About Today I Ate A Rainbow
We created the Today I Ate A Rainbow!™ chart to keep track of the produce that our daughter was eating as we found that sometimes when life got really busy we didn’t always live up to our expectations of ensuring she was eating her fruits and veggies! We also wanted her to participate and take responsibility for her food choices in a fun and interactive way.

We knew that if she ate produce from all the main colour groups every day, she would be getting a good variety of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. I love the concept of involving children in their own nutrition. They get to learn about the nutritional value of the foods that fall into each color category. My kids are two years and are more concerned with ripping things off the fridge then eating the colors of the rainbow but I plan on introducing this to them when they are a bit older. I am sure I will learn some things about eating more colors of the rainbow.

About E-mealz
Jane's inspiration for E-Mealz grew out of her frustration with the difficulty of pulling off dinner for her own family. She says that she felt one week would be semi-sane with "a scribbled down meal plan on napkin lost in the bottom of my purse," and then the next would be sheer chaos. But she was committed to making her family life ordered around an evening meal where everyone could decompress and come face to face with each other.

Jane's search convinced her that all she needed was a simple system to uncomplicate getting the family around the table enjoying a delicious and kid-friendly meal. Jane became intentional in finding that tool for her family, remembering that her Mom fed her large family well on a very small grocery budget with a weekly meal plan of her own creation. In looking for a system on-line that would eliminate the hours and hours of work meal planning requires, Jane found that all of these services were either oblivious to her budget, required using coupons, did not have a consolidated grocery list, had lengthy and complicated instructions, or had recipes that her kids boycotted. She couldn't find any weekly plan coordinated with her grocery store's current sales to maximize her grocery budget.

About Go Green Lunch Box
In 2008, Go Green Lunch Box was founded simply out of "frustration." Packing two lunches everyday, I was appalled at the amount of waste generated by the packaging of single-serve items (sandwiches, juices, snacks, desserts, etc.). All of that – plastic baggies/wrap/cups, paper cartons/bags, cellophane bags – eventually wound up in our landfills. Upon reading a statistic about a typical American child generating 67 pounds of lunch packaging waste each school year, I knew I had to make some changes. About Susan Brown
Susan holds an MBA in Marketing from Western International University. For several years she searched for a product to take to market. While researching in this area she realized that the raw materials for this product were sitting right on her bathroom counter. For years Susan and her mother had been passing along personalized packages of her father's ingredient-rich complexes for good friends and family to try.

The oils and lotions her father had been bringing home since she was a child were the perfect beginning to what was to become a skin care line for babies and moms. About Swaddle Designs
Lynette Damir, RN, CEO and Creative Director, founded SwaddleDesigns in 2002 with her husband, Jeff. How fun does this look?

I am a huge fan of corrugated play structures and my kids are too. I gave my niece a corrugated play house for Christmas and it has lasted 5 months. And she is not dainty with her playhouse. The Citadel is large and can fit 3-4 kids but you can always break it down for storage.

The community of triplet moms is a tight knit one. When Pam, who is a board member of Katy Area Parents of Multiples, contacted Astrid of SIGnature Creations about donating an item, we were in for a whirlwind of a surprise. Not only did she offer to donate outfits but she rallied her very talented friends to donate items as well. Astrid has been our champion. She drew inspiration from Linus, Simon and Dexter and created a one of a kind design for outfits to be used for the auction. The dress features the petal shaped straps which knot so you can adjust the sizing a bit here and get a lot of use out of this either as a dress or pair it with some capris and wear it as a top! I appliqued a flower from the floral print onto the apron and added a stem of green rickrack to tie it all together. I just love the mix of fabrics in this set!

Program Information

Facilities are open year-round and lessons are taught in indoor, heated pools. We offer a variety of class levels that are taught throughout the day and evening in half hour increments. We have small class sizes in order to allow children to receive more personalized attention. Our classes and levels are constantly changing, thus making it impossible to post our class schedule online. Please give us a call and we will gladly help you find the right class and teacher!

Infants and toddlers ages 4 to 29 months will begin in one of our Starfish 1 classes. These classes are designed as parent/child classes. They are 30 minutes long, have a maximum of six students, and are offered once or twice per week. Classes are paid for by the month and are held every calendar month.

All children ages 30 months and older who are new to our program are required to begin in one of our Everyday sessions. Children attend classes everyday, Monday through Friday, for 2 weeks. Classes are 30 minutes each day and have a maximum of four students. Children must come at the same time for the duration of the session.

Upon completion of the Everyday session, students may move into monthly maintenance classes. Maintenance classes are 30 minutes long, have a maximum of four students, and are offered once, twice, or three times per week. Classes are paid for by the month and are held every calendar month.

Registration Process
The registration process can easily be completed by phone. Just give us a call and one of our front desk staff members will gladly guide you through the process. Information gathered during the registration process regarding your child’s swimming abilities will help us to place them in the appropriate level class. We try our best to group students by age and skill level.

Here are some questions we might ask:

• How old is your child?
• Does your child have any fears related to the water?
• Has your child had previous lessons?
• What swimming skills does your child currently have?
• What time of day are you available?
Lessons are paid for at the time of scheduling in order to hold your child’s spot in the class. Credit card payments are accepted when registering by phone. We do have a NO REFUND policy. All necessary paperwork will be mailed to you or can be completed on the first day of class. You are also welcome to visit one of our facilities and complete the registration process in person.

About the auction:
Includes dent repair to one panel. A panel is a door, fender, hood, trunk lid, etc. Does not inlcude bumpers or plastic and rubber parts panels. Does not include bondo or paint repair to existing paint damage. Most dents are completely repaired and do not need any paint at all. If there is some paint transfer or small scratches, Anthony can buff those out (that's included in the service). If there is a deep scratch, auction winner may choose to have someone else do the paint work. Anthony can remove most dents, door dings, and creases by re-shaping the metal.

Auction includes hand made rock oil candle with 1-3 Pyrex wick holders with braided fiberglass wicks are placed in ¼ inch hole(s) drilled through the rock. The candle will be made from a flat stone, slate, misc rock, usually 12” across or so. A bowl is permanently attached to the bottom of the rock to hold the oil. A funnel will be included. The wicks will never need replacing.

IMPORTANT: THE OIL MUST BE Ultra Pure Paraffin Oil IF USED INDOORS. REGULAR LAMP OIL WILL SMOKE AND SMELL.

These are examples of rock oil candles. Your rock oil candle will be similar to these examples but will not be the exact same. No two candles look alike, they are rocks, after all. :)

"This auction is for ONE BATCH (24-32) of "Nursing Cookies" (chocolate-chip and oatmeal) great for nursing moms who want help with their milk supply AS WELL AS anyone who wants a tasty treat full of omega-3s, fiber and B-vitamins (you can eat them without worrying about lactating if you're not already nursing!). I can make them anytime you want, and they will be shipped Priority Mail from Virginia the same day they're made. I've got a pretty good way of keeping them fresh (I've never had any complaints sending them through the mail)! They're a great gift for yourself. I can individually wrap them and include a freezer bag if they're for you or for another mom to be. I will include the recipe as well!!

*Please note, these are made in my home kitchen, but I do observe food safety precautions when I bake. They have eggs and wheat, and are nut free, but are made in a kitchen that cooks with tree nuts, and some of the ingredients are processed in plants with nuts as well*
