The Little Gym

intro

I took advantage of the free introductory class at The Little Gym. I enrolled the boys in the bird class which is for toddlers 10-19 months. Miss Pat was the "teacher" and she was incredible with names. She remembered all the kids names and faces. There must have been over 20 kids and half of them had to have been new.

The boys played with bells, balls and hula hoops. We walked and ran and danced to songs. Dean loved the big red mat. He ran around like a crazy monster, doing some weird yeti stomp dance. Sam was curious about all of the play mats and he climbed everything. I think they had a really fun time. Miss Pat said that the boys were pretty advanced so they would be better suited for the Beast class (19+ months). I think that is fitting since they act like beasts at times.

The classes are so expensive. They were enrolling in the fall classes and 20 classes ran about $400. That is for one child! There was a sibling discount but nothing substantial. The class was fun but not worth all that money. I think as the boys get older, they can benefit from some of their other classes but for now, Dean and Sam will have to make do with running around the house and climbing the furniture. For free.

What you need to do is get Sam into gymnastics! I have never seen a child that young do that before. Seriously, you should really look into that!
